Also FWIW I used to be active in some DGD fan groups, and the guy who Tilian insulted was a well-known troll who was always getting on people's nerves and stirring the pot. It was definitely a poor choice of words by Tilian, but I can absolutely understand why he was annoyed when the guy was trying to dig up dirt on his personal life that really wasn't necessary information.

 

when a problematic person belongs to a minority group its still like that person needs to be able to say their piece in regards to their community no matter how wrong it may be. as a hetero white dude I will never touch any of that with a 10 foot pole. this will be the only 2 cents Ill ever give on that. its definitely not gonna be me standing there to silence them.

on a similar note its disheartening and crazy but ordinary for other well liked artists to brush shoulders with their problematic peers. it literally happens all the time with actors. im not sure why they would choose to associate - the morality is ambiguous for sure. part of it is maybe that part of showbiz is shilling for yourself 24/7.

idk. odd phenomenon. I draw my personal lines and have my own convictions. but on some things I dont have the time to analyze the ramifications of cancelled person so and so hosted SNL this weekend and so and so band played - are they guilty by association, do they share world views. just a dumb example. Heres another good example, Lady Gaga was in a movie with Jared Leto - that crosses a line for me personally lol given what I know about that dude.
