Probably unpopular opinion, but peak Tilian vocally for me was from his time in ToM to Acceptance Speech. Plus those Saosin demos in between bands were fire:
new album tidbits. its done and “an album and a half” long. exciting. https://www.reddit.com/r/dancegavin...urce=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
Woe I’ve never heard this! I also really liked that one demo with Emerosa he did when he was trying out for them
I'm really happy for Andrew. Between Eidola's new album doing well and finally becoming an official member of DGD, he's getting more of the recognition he deserves.
Andrew being an official member now has me more excited than I've been in a long time. love everything that dude does
also i feel Afterburner is an obvious standout in their discog and that it would be awesome if theyd tour the full thing front to back
Same set they played last night in PHX. I'm pretty meh on them live at this point. Feel like it's always the same songs with a few from whatever new album they are touring on. Although I've probably seen them more than any other band at this point, the mothership front to back show was probably my favorite just because so many songs I had not seen before. People on Reddit seem to always freak that they play Lemon Meringue Tie but if you look at setlist.fm they have played that song more than any other song so ya know... come on already. I will say, I am super happy with how Jon's stage presence has progressed over their lifetime. He is so damn fun to wathch now. Used to just scream his parts and then kind of stand by the drummer or whatever but now he's just a goofball the entire time like on the TSC2 video. He's just the best.
From their IG post a few minutes ago: The Afterburner Tour has finished! It was the most extensive, highest attended headlining tour that the band has ever been a part of. We are thrilled that we finished it out, and from speaking to fans on the road, it seemed that having live music back was something that you all needed as well. “Matt Mingus is in a great place right now, and we look forward to having him back in time for the Welcome To Rockville Festival in November. We can’t thank Dakota enough for stepping up, and absolutely crushing it. We had the best crew any band could ask for — if it weren’t for them, we wouldn’t have been able to make this happen — so thank you to everyone for their hard work and support. Thank you to all the bands that put on their amazing shows and were the perfect package to be on this: Polyphia, VEIL OF MAYA, Eidola, and Wolf & Bear…thanks for being a part of this — we hope you had a blast. We are putting together some fantastic tours (with St. Louis, Detroit & Toronto!), Swanfest, and other festivals for 2022, along with a new album release — it’s going to be very busy…we can’t wait to see you all again ❤️

Pretty solid lineup. Not sure if I’ll make the drive to Sacramento again since I’ve been before but it would be fun.
there's definitely gonna be another headlining tour in the summer, the one they announced already are mostly smaller cities. "several" other announcements though before the album? maybe some more festivals? or maybe andrew joining the band will be a big event somehow?
They'll probably announce the album pre-orders before the single comes out like they've done in the past.
