There's also an MP3 Zip of the livestream floating around in the internet.

I still don’t think he sounds good live. Especially with older tracks. Their live performance is incredibly boring especially compared to what UO is doing.

    that’s fair

but idk UO plays really easy music comparatively

Doesn’t matter one iota how easy the music is...the production quality of UO’s performances is insane and incredibly well produced. Great marketing strategy. I know not every band can do that, and UO is relatively larger band, but DGD had an opportunity to do something special. Didn’t work out that way. Good performance and quality though

DGD has never had good stage presence. For such chaotic music they are very subdued. Just comes off weird.

Let's hold our breath until we disappear

Kurt and Jonny were pretty energetic on stage. Jon and Tilian never really have been.

This is still one of my fave recordings of them.

interesting now I wanna see what they did but I don’t wanna have to listen to them

also per Spotify DGD is actually more popular than UO. I was surprised when I recently discovered what a huge spike in popularity DGD has seen in the last 5 years.

I don’t knock the technicalities of their music one bit, but it really just looks like a sound check when they’re onstage.

Underoath’s streams feel like you paid for a performance.

I’ve never seen DGD live, and I will not judge their performance on the recent recorded one since they were just trying something out for the first time.

Kurt and Jon used to do backflips off eachother

idk they were young back then

although Tilian and Jon now are both ripped

i mean not every band can be dillinger escape plan for their entire career

but i normally dont really care about stage presence anyway if im at a show tbh, only band i ever thought wow their stage presence sucks was alkaline trio, but they were touring agony and irony so i get it

Henry Rollins once said something like that Dillinger Escape Plan “looked like they wanted to physically hurt their fans during performance” lol

lol first time i saw them was opening for thursday when i was reallllll young like 17 and i had no idea who they were. greg punched my friend in the face with the mic (not on purpose obv). we all left the show massive fans and they've become one of my favorite bands of all time. (if you couldnt tell my avatar is ben)

I’ve still only fucked with Miss Machine, and Ire Works. Though both are rad.

One of Us is the Killer and Operation Paralysis are incredible. Need to listen to Dissociation more to get a better grip on it. Liked it at the time but never really followed-up.

they don’t have any bad albums. I like Calculating through Ire the most easily, though Ire needed time to grow for most people I know, it’s super weird - Mike Patton influence abound. I still haven’t heard the latest one after Killer - I think I just flat out forgot they were doing another one.

What's the best intro into Dillinger? They're a band that's always popped up based on listening to their contemporaries, but never got around to checking out.
