This is growing on me at an alarming rate. I was really planning on balancing out my weekend by listening to both Afterburner and Heartwork equally and suffice it to say, I never went back to Heartwork (although I did really enjoy it on first listen). One in a Million and Parody Catharsis is such a fantastic duo in the middle.
Yeah I'd definitely add Three Wishes to the One In A Million/Parody Catharsis duo to make a great trio! I like Parallels a bit more now too (the ending rules), and that plus Night Sway & Say Hi makes for a great heavier trio. It's crazy to me that Night Sway has the lowest number of views on YouTube for this album, probably my No.1 song so far!
Yeah I mentioned it in the bracket thread, but I think it's the best song that I'm not hearing people mention a lot. It's ultra energetic and catchy, but I think being in between Parallels and Say Hi causes it to be overshadowed a little.
This album didn’t really do anything for me after my first listen, aside from Prisoner. Hoping it grows on me with more listens
I think the consensus is that this is a grower, but it only takes 3-5 listens for it to start clicking. Good luck.
I've been in and out on them a few times over the past decade, but I'm back in now haha. Around this time last year, Acceptance Speech was my favorite. Probably still is, but I'm in the process of revisiting their discography for the first time in almost a year of not listening to them. Self Titled, Happiness, and Instant Gratification were high up there for me as well.
When people said there was a spanish song I didn’t think it’d actually sound like a spanish song haha
Acceptance Speech > Mothership > ArSe > Afterburner > IG. Pretty good dropoff after the first 2. But I still mostly enjoy listening front to back on everything except IG.
