Yeah I mean I don't agree at all, if a dude doesn't want to settle down until he's 60, I don't see a problem with that at all. If a dude doesn't ever want to settle down, that's not a problem, we are under no obligation to get married or have children. Same thing for a women (though there's a greater pressure on women to marry and reproduce) but like at 28 you are an adult and two adults should be allowed to marry (controversial take)

 

I gotta imagine it's difficult or very unpleasant to do, it doesn't sound simple lol.

 

Marrying somebody less than half your age is at least slightly weird.

I mean there's obviously a point where it would be normalized like if you're 200 years old marrying a100 year old fine but I don't know.

I think that old "rule" of half + 7 seems like a good guide.

yeah sounds like an arduous process. just surprised I've never even heard of anyone trying it so I figured it must be a pain.

 

the whole being 60 and not being able to have kids made me think of how ppl freeze their eggs which made me think of ppl who sell them and I got curious lol.

I know that freezing eggs and IVF and shit is hella expensive so I don't know how much money you have to put in to make money, I think being a surrogate is different, like if you just freeze your eggs on your own it costs thousands of dollars and may not work, plus you need to inject yourself with hormones which makes you um hormonal

 

My sister saved for a few years before doing ivf. Cost her 18k I think. If she were to do it again it would be a about 10k because they harvested all the eggs they would need for 2 or 3 rounds n the first round.
