I have a 6S and wired bose quiet comfort noise canceling headphones I got on sale for about $100. I hope this phone and these headphones never die.

My phone still lasts a full day with one charge and is running the latest OS. I've used my girlfriends Xs and it still doesn't wow me enough to drop that kind of money on it lol. The only way I'd get a new phone is if the current one breaks pretty much. Also those panasonic headphones I've posted are only ten bucks and sound unreal. I love that I can lose them and just not care and buy another pair.

 

We'd slay the doughnut market. Could make 'em look like tires.

This ^ was a good post. Nothing wrong with looking at new products. Or liking a specific product.

This post came off as very defensive. I don't think @ChaseTx was singling you out as much as the people that do this online/in real life that use products as status symbols such as the person @Dog with a Blog was talking about.

 

Traditional is a much better word, yeah

And I can understand being frustrated by this but IMO brands always had crazy marketing budget. Before they would spend millions on television ads and now they can pay a fraction of that to market to a way more specific audience.
The receiver of that marketing budget changed but that isn’t the fault of the influencers...
It’s true that it’s an unfair system but I have no idea why that results in people looking down on the influencer for knowing marketing instead of the company for choosing to budget their money that way.

There’s lots of criticism to be made about influencers/influencer culture don’t get me wrong.
But their skill set and future ain’t one of them.

 

@dylan do airpods really not fall out because all I can think when I see them is "these would fall out of my ears constantly" and it is a big part of me not considering looking into them

 

Yeah. I feel ya 100%. Phones are fast enough at this point to do everything I want to do. No need to upgrade every year or even every couple of years. I bought the 6 when it first came out. The button on it developed a problem, so then I bought the iPhone SE, now I'm up to a 6S. I have no idea what phone I'll get when this thing dies. I don't want to have to buy new headphones unless I have to. It's really annoying that I can't charge a newer iphone and listen to music at the same time with my current headphones. I won't be upgrading for a long time.

 

Pretty sure they sell an adapter to let you listen and charge at the same time. It's probably annoying though.

 

For me they only fall out when I’m taking off a hoodie or something. That was a fear of mine as well. But I go to the gym with them and haven’t had a problem
