First of all influencer marketing IS “real” marketing (Ian) lol and I don’t understand why people act like these people will be “screwed and never had a job” as if it doesn’t take an immense amount of skill and knowledge to amass a marketing influence account.

Influencer marketing is like a billion dollar industry. It’s taken seriously by everyone except people who don’t understand the power it has.
Instagram may fall but influence culture will be around for a long time. Marketing is marketing, only the medium changes.
Obviously it depends on who you’re talking about but these accounts all have experience in modeling, marketing & social media marketing, they probably all have a product that they developed or work with etc, and they have major connections in the business.
