This is the album I keep coming back to all the way from yesterday. I am really enjoying this!

It’s a good month for singers in your favorite bands releasing solo albums!

Ordered on Friday, didn’t expect to get it today. One listen through and im okay with it. It’s more like Party adjacent than Hurricane Season which is a bummer, but as he said he wanted to do that. I don’t dislike it, it’s just not a sound that is my favorite, the kind of “noisy” rock music for lack of a bette term. I always thought his voice and writing style fit better with darker tones and melodies and etc. And his lyrics especially on the back half lose me a little bit, but maybe I need to sit with them more.
Like I love the music and tone of Sophie moon and assume it’s about his daughter, but the lyrics in spots are a bit more…I don’t know what the right word is, it’s not abstract, but..I’m used to more “straightforward” lyrics I guess from dan? Hard to describe what I mean.

i think my favorite stretch is songs 1-3 right now. I like the message if Wrong but the lyrics just aren’t hitting there for me for some reason. I do love how he just let the guys rock out on Wrong and The Excess though, sounds like those guitar solos were pure in the moment stuff. But yeah not as many hooks especially on the back half. So thst and some of the lyrics not landing for me has this ranked more towards PA than Hurricane season for me. But I do really love those first 3 tracks. Have to see what else grows on me.

As I said it’s only one listen so I could be mistaken…but was there a lack of bridges on here? I feel like I’m remembering a lot of songs that went with a musical interlude type bridge before going into the 3rd chorus (if at all). Could just be misremembering that though, it’s been a long day.

I need to relisten to Party Adjacent, but it never really grew on me and I'd say Hurricane Season is one of my fav albums ever

felt the same way for ages and still love Hurricane Season a lot, but I find it too emotionally raw to listen to a lot lmao. Party Adjacent is just so much fun, bangers front to back and the guitar work is superb

An acoustic version of Sea Level. I really like this song and the meaning behind it.

    New song.

    I’m assuming a B-Side from Dear Darkness?
