The cover art is trippy and kinda cool. I feel like I’m going to enjoy this whole record more than his previous solo work which is nice.

I thought some bands were doing earlier digital releases and later physical releases because vinyl is a hot commodity and takes more time to press/package/distribute.

Either way, love the personal sounding lyrics on this with dealing with his anxieties and overcoming alcoholism and so on. I’m kind of enjoying the guitar solos thrown in here with having two guitars.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

I think this is my favourite so far, but 4 songs when this still isn’t out until February feels a bit much!

I feels like this could have come out in October/November. Liking these songs a lot. They’re very catchy and there’s lots of nice guitar solos thrown in there. Hopefully this isn’t just a one off album.

yeah that's a strange rollout for a non-major studio album. Like, I get that for artists who are trying to chart on the Hot 100 but not for indie artists who would benefit more from a quick rollout

Getting new Frank, Dan and also Greg Barnetts solo album all back to back is going to scratch a nice itch in the winter though

I throw Dashboard Confessional and maybe Gang of Youths in there too.

Really wish someone would occupy a January release date so I can give those February records the attention they deserve. Any think I am most excited for Dan and Greg’s records based on the songs released so far.

Not all remotely the same genre, but January already has Fickle Friends, Underoath, Band of Horses, Aurora, Amber Mark & MØ albums I'm excited for

This is soooooo good. He's released a lot of singles early from this early but I never tired of them and instead keep going back for repeated listens. Collectively, this is probably my favourite thing Dan has done. There's a nice variety here stylistically well feeling like the songs belong together. He also made 10 songs feel like more than 10 songs making it feel like a nice full album (credit again to the variety). Glad he took the lockdown to write and practice. Glad he reached out to Mike Park about these songs, glad willing to work with some new people in The Bygones, that he decided he had more than EP's worth of inspiration and that Epitaph for putting this out. Well done.

This also gets me even more excited for the possibility of new Trio.

It felt like there was more momentum behind this in the fall (October:November). I hope the February release date doesn’t get lost on people.
