Do y'all like the smell of pot or do you even notice it anymore? That's probably one of the biggest turn offs to me is the smell and I always wonder if it's like cigarette smokers where they become like immune to the smell after a while
It’s like Pavlovian. Once you associate the smell with being high, you like smelling it because you know it means you’re about to be high. Or already high.
I like the smell of pot before it's smoked. During smoking and after, I don't really care for it. If pot is over-smoked/burnt, it can be downright disgusting. I smoke cigarettes and I'm definitely not immune to the smell. I can't stand it on my clothing or in my car or inside a house. I'll never understand people who smoke in their own car.
My BIL is a big smoker and loves the smell and I'm always like noooo. My landlord lives below me and smokes so my apt often smells and it's the worst but at least it doesn't attach itself to my things I guess. I used to work in a casino where ppl could smoke cigarettes so it'd be in my hair and clothes and my smoker grandpa would pick me up from work and not even notice it so I just assumed smokers were all used to the smell! But I think he did things like u mentioned smoking in the house and car so he was constantly surrounded
I smoke cigarettes too and I smoke in my car but the only time I smell it is when I close the window before letting it air out. Other than that I never ever smell it. This could be because of immunity but also since I do smell it sometimes I feel like that must not be true lol
I think it boils down to: when was the last time you smoked? If your grandpa smoked before he picked you up, I think it'd be very hard for him to smell it on you. Plus, like you said, if he smoked in his car and in his house, then I'm sure all of his clothing and the fabric of his car seats smelled like it as well making it really impossible. Do you smoke first thing when you wake up or relatively shortly after waking? I go days without smoking sometimes and pretty much never smoke until after 5 pm on weekdays. So if I got in your car right now, for example, I'd probably smell it right away.
No I sometimes go days without smoking too. I almost exclusively smoke in my car (with the window down I’m not a heathen) or at a bar or something outdoors. I don’t think I or my car smells like smoke but probably everyone thinks that sooo
The rare times I have smoked in my car, not my current one because I absolutely refuse to do that these days, one cigarette even with the windows down would linger for days. Unless I parked with the windows down overnight or something.
No I just meant yesterday during the food discussions it became clear that I’m trash lol so of course I don’t have an air freshener! :P
question for the collective: when was the first 4/20 you participated in? how was it? what was your most memorable 4/20? also would you like some non-4/20 questions?
4/20 isn't that special to me as I smoke more days than I don't. I wish I had a good story for it! Yes please!
The first 4/20 was when I was 18. I only started smoking when I was 17 so I didn’t partake until I was 18 and had just learned about it and had a group of stereotypical stoner friends and I had my own apartment so we decided to make brownies. We’ll it was an all day affair and it was so much fun and then we all ate the brownies and then PASSED out. All of us. We wake up to a knock at the door. Some of our other friends are in a band and they were just getting back in town and excited and ready to party. We opened the door groggily thinking it was the middle of the night and they were like guys it’s 9pm Brownies fuck u up That was probably my most memorable. Also last year I got high and went with my ex to sit in on a discussion with his old philosophy professor about whether or not dolphins were people. That was really fun to do while high. In general tho I have probably celebrated a lot and had lots of fun. I like holidays and I definitely hung with a stoner crowd for a while. No
okay @Ken (& anyone else I guess) hypothetical scenario: you're developing a cartoon that's semi autobiographical. what kind of animation style would you go for? what voice actor(s) would you want to play yourself and any other significant characters? what tone/style of humour would this show have? feel free to include any other details you wanna throw in about this hypothetical cartoon
Have you ever seen Batman: The Animated Series? That's the style of animation I would want. I would be voiced by Leonardo Dicaprio My Dad would be voiced by Harrison Ford My Mom would be Sally Field My gf would be Christina Hendricks My brother would be voiced by Glenn Howerton. The show would be a mix of mad men and it's always sunny. My life isn't that exciting though, so the show wouldn't get picked up after its pilot despite the all-star cast.
