I fear it’s too flimsy to be a lunch pail. Lunch pail implies, in my humble opinion, a bit more structural integrity where as the lunchbox I have is quite malleable.
I usually start by picking apart every detail, I think of every little thing and think "how can this part be funny?" It doesn't work for every part of the story obviously but it's a good way to turn it from something that just has a punchline into a full-fleshed bit. After that, it's just nonstop testing, first at open mics to see how it does in an "I came to see comedy" setting and then I'll tell the joke to friends but not tell them it's a joke, and see if I can get them to break character as they're listening and laugh. If they do the latter, I know I've struck gold. If they don't but it still works at open mics it can still be funny but it takes a LOT more testing to figure out if it'll work all the time. The hardest thing to me is figuring out how to end it all because I always feel like there's another joke that should follow hahaha The second hardest thing is that my jokes probably aren't that good, I feel like I have a good vision of how a joke should be and a hard time getting it there I just turned 27 a week ago! I did not go to college but plan to, my work compensates $5000/yr for college so I'm gonna take advantage of that and try to further my horizons. I currently work in software support for a company that does software used by senior living communities. Our software is designed to help evaluate residents, determine what kind of care and medication they need, do billing, HR, lots of stuff like that for different senior living communities. I've lived in Texas my whole life and in the Dallas area for every year except one, where I lived closer to central Texas (Killeen) and that was the worst year of my life I probably will actually get a lunchbox once I actually dedicate myself to bringing lunch to work, but no I haven't
that's a cool job I used to work for a healthcare software company so kinda similar! 5000/yr for college is dope you should definitely take advantage of that!! What do you want to go to college for?
Good advice. I’m 100% certain I’d never perform any said bit but would still like to try to write the bit. Thanks!
That's awesome! I love the field honestly, it's a blast and I enjoy being able to help people. I'm really not sure what I want to go to college for yet, I'm trying to decide if I should stay technical, go for accounting (which I think I'd be wonderful at), or go for something that I just want to learn more about, it's tough to decide That's how I feel about every bit I write now hahaha, like I WANT to perform it but I do also find the writing aspect fulfilling and it's just nice to have the joke at the end of the day
@Fucking Dustin , an evil villian invades your work place , you are the one man who can save your whole workplace and you can only use one Final Fantasy spell to get rid of this evil wrong doer, what spell do you use!?!?!? Save us Dustin!!!!
I feel like the obvious answer is Death but that's not a fun answer I think I'll actually go with a FFXIV spell: Akh Morn. I don't want it to just destroy him, I want it to also look badass as hell
I'm gonna omit local chains from this because I feel like it's cheating, and I'll say the best chain restaurant is Pei Wei. There's probably a lot that are better but when I think of a chain that I go to and I'm always happy with it, I think Pei Wei Worst chain restaurant is Red Lobster, there are worse places to eat but Red Lobster tries to pass as something near and dear to my heart and fails abysmally Both answers will probably change in my head in about 15 minutes I would ask you...but you stay so cool Umm probably very hot
never had or even heard of Pei Wei (I'll look into it) but fantastic choice on your pick for worst, and I agree with everything you said about it, too
I'm not worried about it at all honestly, out of our injuries from last season his is the injury I'm least worried about. I'm much more worried about Foreman (who I was really looking forward to seeing play last year and did really well) and Watt. Watson tore his other ACL in college, came back in THE NEXT GAME and won so I'm not concerned about him one bit
I don't smell it at all at the Targets I go to, BUT I know what smell you're talking about from past Targets and it doesn't bother me at all
