Ditto. Hoppy Easter. Hope all is well. How's the new job?

 

@sophos34 Did you teach yourself guitar or did you take lessons? I take lessons but am also trying out tutorials online to supplement because sometimes I get embarrassed in front of everyone at lessons and freeze up

 

I took lessons from ages 10-12 and my guitar teacher was awesome, after that I would just look up tabs and learn songs I liked and got better that way. So I'm not great with music theory (I know some) but my dexterity and rhythm are really good

 

this week's line-up is stacked with heavy hitters, self not included. gonna be a great week.

 

I love it! Keeps me busy and it doesn't suck, couldn't ask for more

 

@Kiana my advice is just practice practice practice for my first few years and even beyond of guitar I would play for 2-4 hours almost every single day, it pays off trust me

 

For some reason when I was 10 I REALLY wanted to be a good guitar player and I put the work in on my own which was insane for me to do as a 10 year old

 

were you into any guitarists at 10, I was like just into the Spice Girls

 

Thanks! I kinda suck at following through. I had guitar lessons at 14 but didn't last long. I'm taking lessons with other adults now but sometimes the instructor gets excited and kinda jumps ahead and I get confused and overwhelmed and struggle to practice! And since I'm the only one in class with an electric guitar sometimes he wants me to try different things in front of everyone and i die inside lol. I'm also a lefty playing righty and he offered to string my guitar backwards or whatever? But idk I've already come this far playing righty and idk if it's confusing to switch?

I will say, I play a mean intro to Despacito lmao.

Not a bad guitar, I’m not the craziest about that brand but their higher end gear is pretty nice. You thinking of doing any mods to it or you gonna keep it stock?

 

Stock to begin with but will almost definitely switch the pick ups with something else eventually

 

I'm gonna try out mustaines signature dean too I like the way that looks and sounds from what I've seen

Might be a minute for my electronic stuff, I'm doing a collab EP with @scroopy.noopers very soon like it's basically done then I'm focusing on my new metal band for the rest of the year but inspiration might hit and I'll do something with my electronic stuff

 

Plus got some freelancing mixing and mastering gigs lined up and always trying to get more
