Did I have a really weird phone conversation with you once? I think I vaguely remember a awkward drunken conversation.
To be honest, I sort of forgot about you. Both chicken and tuna salad are terrible. The Time Keeper Chief Fourvel Milan Kundera Jose Saramago Elena Farrante Toni Morrison Octavia Butler Italo Calvino I feel like this happened, but I don’t remember.
@Dominick when did you first realize you were a leftist? did you already have proclivities towards leftist ideas before you read marx and engels?
Well, I realized I was a socialist of the social democratic variety when I was seventeen or eighteen. A friend of mine made a passing reference to socialism, at which point I looked up what it was and decided I was one. Shortly thereafter, I became a Marxist when I joined the ISO and familiarized myself with Marx, Engels, Lenin, Luxembourg, etc. Prior to that, I was guess I tended towards the left from when I was old enough to have any cognizance of politics. It was from the liberal perspective, eg, the world is unfair and we can’t eat, but we need to get better people in office and so on and so forth.
I hate white liberals more. Lahren is just a standard edition Fox News person, which are easily dispatched because they’re actually fucking stupid. White liberals act like they are allies, but at the end of the day, they will betray you at the exact moment that it is expedient for them. They have no sense of themselves or how they make things worse, and they’re always on board with your message until it requires them to give anything up.
@Dominick favorite fast food restaurant? Also, are you a spicy food guy and if so, what's your go-to hot sauce?
I’d have to go with Popeyes. And I’m not a spicy food person. It messes with my stomach. I prefer my stuff mild, to be honest.
@Dominick how often do you come in here to the general forum? do you lurk threads in here and wonder from afar like a lot of us from the general forum do in the politics forum?
When I first joined Chorus, I spent a lot of time in the General forum. Once the election got in full-swing, I spent more time over there. The subsequent fallout of the election has had me over there completely. I check in on the general forum from time to time. In particular, the relationship thread. I like to see what is going on in your love lives, because it’s interesting to me. But, I don’t comment on anything over here because I don’t have anything to say of consequence.
I don't believe that is the case. We, for example, need to know your stance on people who squirt ketchup on top of their fries rather than dipping. And by "we," I mean @dylan.
Hmm. I was probably like six or seven and the mall was having an even for kids that had a Bozo-like clown at the center of it. When he took a break, I went up to him and just started talking to him. I don’t even remember what I was saying. He asked me if I wanted to be in an upcoming portion of the show, which was a contest where you had to throw ping pong balls into buckets, the last of which was filled with silver dollars. So, he chose a white child to be my competitor and she missed the second to last bucket. I was up next and managed to win. With my newfound winnings, I went to KB Toys and bought X-Men action figures. Sauron and Cyclops to be specific. The other memory that I hold dear was when my great aunt showed up at our house on a Sunday and took us out to get ice cream at the beach. It’s a small memory, but it meant a lot. As for dancing, yes, I do like to dance. Am I skillful at dancing? Well, I’m really good at the two-step. Other than that, no. Lol
@Dominick If you were to write a comic book, what genre would it be and what themes would you want to discuss? If it would be a superhero comic, what would the powers of the main character be?
It’d be a horror comic and it would be about the ghosts of indigenous people, Iraqis, Chileans, slaves, etc., coming back to make America pay for what it did to them. They would be the heroes. The reason is, in horror films these days, people get to come for all sorts of stupid reasons. I feel like, if anyone has unfinished business or justice to hand out, it would be the men and women that were ground under the heel of American empire.
