love it

 

vocal production probably. people think its easy to make anyone sound good but its really not. for auto-tune to be effective as a corrective tool you have to actually be close to the notes you're trying to hit. for it to be effective as an effect you have to know what you're doing with it or its just gonna sound whack as hell, which does happen sometimes. i think a lot of aspects are misunderstood though. people think its easier than it is, people think its more about "hiding" mistakes than it really is. that stuff happens sure but its way more involved and in depth and complicated than pressing a button and making something "right"

@sophos34 This isn't a question, but I just wanted to say congrats on kicking the drug habit. Not that it's any of my business, but didn't know you had had those struggles in the past, and it's cool that you not only beat it, but are so open about your struggle and overcoming it.

 

thank you! it almost feels necessary for me to be open about it because i lived in the shadows for so long hiding it and not knowing i wasnt alone and how to navigate it all that i think if im open about it i could help someone who is silently struggling because there's so many out there who have no idea there's so many people who are going through it and have been through it too. its something that needs to be talked about more so that people struggling arent so afraid to come forward and get help. it took me so long to find the courage to seek help for it, because i was just afraid to be open about it
