  1. @kaylasananjou what's your email inbox management filing system like? what's the threshold for how many emails it takes for you to unsubscribe from an email list?

Prepare for the dumbest deep dive of all time. I actually manage three emails.

personal personal: this is just my email. I keep it METICULOUSLY organized. I have folders for everything- a work folder for old messages before I got my work email, apartment stuff from the past few years, tax records/confirmations from the past few years, personal, music industry, etc. I even keep my promotions tab curated and go through and delete everything like every two days. I don't usually have a problem with getting a lot of emails from brands I like- Old Navy, for instance, emails me like 10 times a week, but it's chill. What bugs me is if I buy stuff and am automatically enrolled in a bunch of emails. I used to use unroll.me before it turned out they were very evil, so one day at work I spent like 3 hours systematically unsubscribing from everything I didn't want.

work personal: any emails that are for me specifically at work go here. because I might need to recall something or track back, I don't delete anything from this unless it's an office email that doesn't pertain to me (we have lists that go out to every manager regardless.) or something I was mistakenly CC'd on.

work work: So the final email I manage hasn't always been managed by me, so it's a cluster fuck. I work at a media analysis, research, and news reporting company, and handle all subscriptions for the Norh America Market, AUS/NZ, and randomly, Vietnam. Because we have so many subscriptions and because a lot of them come with unavoidable newsletters, notifications, and bullshit, I mostly just leave this alone and search for things instead of manually scrolling through the inbox.

ohhh man... okay...so i think i was aware of AP.net as early as 2007. I was 13/14 that year, and my dumbass registered and then made a thread for Evanescence and then got mad when everyone ragged on me, and deleted. Then I lurked for a long time before remaking my account for whenever paramore did that chat around the BNE era. I don't think I ever posted much outside of news threads because it used to be pretty clique-y all around in those days. The first time I remember ever becoming ACTIVE was when Hayley Williams was on the cover of cosmo and I spent like 3 days zealously defending her. I think I was probably really fucking annoying, so sorry to anyone who had to deal with me between 2009-2012. I also used to hate it so much, so I really have no idea why I stayed on the site during those years.

2014/2015 I became a more regular poster and of course, pissed everyone off in every thread around the boycott Pure Noise records stuff. I'm not entirely proud of how I acted during all of that, because I was going through a very hard time in my real life as well during a lot of that. So I was really hype when Jason invited me to be a beta user on Chorus. We had a lot of fun during those first few months. I made some other dumb mistakes when Chorus was new and logged off for a long time, but I came back when Paramore announced After Laughter because I missed the community.

And now here I am! Trying my best to balance being a kind adult and also yelling at shitty dudes still.

truly this is nothing against you personally, but they'd most likely be like "will you ever grow up and stop hanging out with band boys" because they are conservative christians waiting for me to marry up and pop out a kid.

What the first moment you remember in your own life where you broke out of your comfort zone, and how did it make you feel?

    Also definitely leave work early
