ignoring all of the nonsense above: @dylan what is the proper phone etiquette for concerts and movie theaters?
While you are correct that the amount is unspecified, the dictionary definition explains that it specifically refers to a small amount. You’d be hard pressed to find people who would say roughly an hour is a small amount of time in this particular context. I think the more appropriate response here would be, “I’ll be on in a little while.” It’s a simple change, but there is an added level of clarity and adjusts the other party’s expectations.
Let's fucking go, Ken. *very arron weiss voice* time is an illusion. What is a "long" time to you could be a "short" time to another. it's relative. How short is an hour for a mighty mountain? How much does an hour mean in the life of a fly? How quickly can an hour change our lives or how long can an hour seem when we're awaiting the call from a relative about our brother in the hospital? 50 minutes to me is not that long. Several hours? Sure. But less than an hour is a reasonable amount of time to wait when someone says "a few." Check mate, dork. God damn, even I'm impressed with this. One quick pic or video is reasonable. If you're holding it up for multiple songs or blocking the view and the experience and enjoyment of others behind you, that's where you fucked up. No
i used to, unfortunately i spend my time in other ways, mostly much less productive ways. i enjoy political books. I bought the new jim crow and some others but haven't prioritized reading them. in the kc dsa i helped organize and run the reading groups we had and i enjoyed that a lot. we did an introduction to socialism course and then a prison abolition course.
@dylan i have this fantasy where youre Lord Shaxx and im just a lowly guardian who has lost their light. you quietly approach me, noting that my warlock robes are quite revealing, and ask me what is wrong as you gracefully caress my helmet. i tell you ive lost my light and then you lift my head up with your mighty gauntlet and whisper "i can restore it" then you carry me into the deepest recesses of the tower and restore my light with reckless abandon. i comment that you have "quite the Gjallarhorn hidden in your leg armor" to which you reply "it will really blow you away". Ghost, whos voice ive decided to change to John Stamos', comes in on us and decides to join. lets just say all of our armor has a....white shader after we're done ;) ok so my question is whats a movie that you can watch over and over again and still enjoy?
