@dylan (east coasters) and @tucah (west coasters) on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the most grossest) how disgusting is the tradition of blowing out birthday candles, causing countless particles of saliva to end up all over the cake, and then guests are expected to eat It? If your score is 1-5 explain urself. If your score is 6-10, what tradition should we replace this archaic one with? Thanx.
Non-imessage messages are SMS or MMS, which are standards that have been used since the early 80s. It's sluggish, inefficient, costly, and archaic. iMessage is in every single respect better than SMS/MMS. Messages can be sent over wifi or mobile data, getting around carriers text message limits that were prevalent around the time iMessage came out. Wifi and mobile data also allow for more efficient and faster sending and receiving of messages. iMessages are encrypted and secure. iMessage isn't confined to communicating in only texts and pictures/videos. iMessage uses badges, which are apps within the app. I can start a game of connect 4 or pay my brother for ordering pizza within the iMessage app securely, efficiently, and quickly. When you use iMessage with another iMessage user, you know your communication with them will be secure, fast, and fun. Those who do not use iOS or have an iMessage account are not only doing a disservice to those iOS users who they are corresponding with, but also to themselves. I understand those who have a preference or cost concerns for iOS devices, but on every single category where iMessage is measured against android/windows/blackberry/etc systems, it is the better messaging service. Texting someone who is a greentexter is annoying, it's inconvenient, and frustrating, and it's ugly. Their messages get broken up into 170 characters and sent one by one. It doesn't show when they are typing, there are no read receipts, I can't interact with native features like location sharing within the iMessage app or use the badges to play games or send money or use other helpful and useful features like I can with iMessage. often times SMS/MMS messages bounce back or go unsent for hours trying to connect to carriers SMS/MMS servers and then get forwarded to the receiving user.
it's 10. it's disgusting. it's uncivilized. and worst of all, it's impolite. I don't wanna eat spit cake. My solution is to end the practice completely and not replace it with anything. The candles either drip hot wax on the frosting or poke holes in the nice designs. also end singing happy birthday. also end birthdays.
I'm gonna go to Menzingers on March 17! And then Wonder Years in May. Is there anything coming up soon I should know about and we can go to together?
I stopped dressing up for Halloween when I was like 5 I think. I get it, but I don’t care for it. If they’re dressed up and drunk, that’s when I want to leave wherever I’m at. That’s the worst State someone could ever be in socially.
Arthur Bryant’s burnt end sandwich with fries and pickles and a Big Red soda. Because @dadbolt asked me a question during my previous day that I was unable to answer before it switched over to the next person. Also because for some reason annoying me is like this websites part time job
Anything with snacks. When I grocery shop I cannot buy any snacks or they’ll be gone by the end of that night. I am a compulsive eater and I’ll eat on a bag of chips and won’t feel satisfied until there’s no more chips left for me to eat. It I open it up, I have to finish it. So teaching myself control and changing my shopping list and eating habits is something I’ve had to work on for about 3-4 years now.
