ginormous furniture store. I guess there's only one location in nebraska, iowa, missouri, and texas so probably not.

I went there friday to look at new furniture and it was seriously overwhelming and anxiety inducing just how massive the building is and how much stuff is there.

 

How would you compare it to ikea in terms of size/amount of products?

 

Yup we went shopping there once back when I was helping Laura buy a bed, it's crazy

 

Our ikea here is 359,000 sqft of retail space and nfm is 1.1 million sqft. The one in Texas is even bigger it's almost 2 million.

 

a 1.1 million sqft retail location in the Amazon age sounds terribly unsustainable to me lol

 

My parents do all their furniture shopping there now. I've never been inside there, or IKEA for that matter

 

you'd think so, but it gets so busy there they have to have the local pd directing traffic in, around, and out of the parking lot on weekends because there are sooo many people that go there.

how many purchases v. people who are using it as a showroom for Amazon/etc though, ya know?

 

spoilers for recently released movies and tv shows I think a month is the absolute max a reasonable person can demand others use spoiler tags.

That's unreasonable. What if someone can't see a show when it's on and needs to wait for it to be available for stream?

What if someone can't make the theater and need to wait for the Blu-Ray release? C'mon a month?!

 

not enough to the point where it's detrimental to them. they often run 0% financing specials on all sorts of products and I can get stuff there for the same price or less when it's on sale there than I can on amazon. Plus, especially for furniture and appliances, it's better to buy it in a store with either load assistance or free delivery/installation that they often have. I'm buying my couch and chair there because they sell higher quality, made-in-america stuff I can't get off amazon and have shipped for less than what nfm sells it for. I'm sure for electronics and stuff people use it for showrooms, but even their apple selection, pricing, and finance is good enough to where i'll buy my apple stuff from them over amazon or the apple store.

Xavier, you were doing so well until now. Hot dogs are sandwiches. Target has a weird smell once you get past the coffee/popcorn. These are scientific facts. At least you did well with all of your other questions. Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of your AMA.

 

a month is more than reasonable and if you expect more than that you're an entitled fuck and need to reprioritize your time if you're to the point where you want to see a new show or movie but haven't made time for it on your own, yet you're expecting others to not spoil it for you because you're unwilling or unable to schedule that time. A week is the lower limit, a month is the highest.

 

if spoilers are contained in a thread about the topic, a week tops if that. if it's just in a random thread, i'd say 6 months.
