At least we got a killer discography to remember them by

 

every group should break up during the pandemic so by the time festivals come back they can charge extra for their "reunion" tour. big brain.

 

DP hasn’t played shows since the 00’s though, this just feels like a natural conclusion

 

Kind of weird. They've been around so long. Maybe they had a falling out?

 

This is a huge bummer, really was hoping for at least one last album.

I wonder why they broke up? I guess it was kind of evident with no major activity from them for a while but they’ve had long gaps in the past.

 

My guess is it just felt done creatively and in terms of the robot persona

 

And while I know they are robots, the actual humans are almost 50 years old, I wouldn't blame anyone of that age with such a successful career to want to hang it up and enjoy their lives

 

I was hoping they’d at least score the next TRON

 

They basically became a merch company when it was clear they weren't going to tour behind RAM.

Since it’s an old clip, I’m guessing it’s just symbolic of them parting ways and there’s not some deeper meaning to one of them exploding in this context.

 

1993 - 2021(?) except we possibly haven’t put anything out since 2016...

Good for them though. They are basically fully cemented into music history off the back of a few solid, undeniable tracks, and offer even more rewarding experiences for anyone diving in beyond those songs. Can’t ask for much more.

 

Going to miss them but yeah it’s weird that it’s 1993-2021 when they haven’t done anything for years now

 

they broke up in 2021 regardless of musical releases or tours, those are the things that define a band or a group.

 

I was really hoping for new music.
