what the actual fuck? when i saw the title i thought this was going to be an old shit posting thread about how much he loved weezer or ketchup or something. was not prepared for this. been sitting here for the past hour reading through old posts and trying to process it

we used to talk all the time back in the day. never about anything serious, really. mostly just sending each other memes or stuff we thought the other would find funny. whenever he noticed that i hadn’t posted in a while though he’d always check in and make sure everything was okay

sometimes it felt like he was the devil on my shoulder, always trying to encourage me to get into mischief. whenever i was unsure if a post i was going to make on here crossed the line or not, i'd send it to derek first. every single time he would try and convince me to post it and call me a coward if i didn’t lol

still to this day whenever i walk past the baked beans aisle in a store it reminds me of him and all the memes he used to post

this is so fucked. half convinced it’s all an elaborate troll and in a few minutes he’s going to call me a nerd or something for being sad

rest in peace to a real one. my love and thoughts are with his family, especially his daughter who i know meant the world to him

 

It had been a very long time since I interacted with Derek on here, but Damn. I don't even know what to say. Sending all my thoughts and prayers to his family

shit, I was away this weekend and I'm just now seeing this. what a loss. I never interacted with him outside of the forum but even still I could tell he was a good dude. looking at old posts and smiling. best wishes to his daughter & family.

Holy shit. Finding this out really late obviously but this has me really broken up. Rest In Peace Derek. It was great having drinks and seeing a concert together with @riotspray. I always enjoyed talking about weed with you and the other folks in the 420 thread.
