well this certainly is different
LOSE was no question a top 2014 release for me. New song is interesting, really looking forward to this
i don't know what i think about these verse vocals
musically it's real cool though
not 100% sure about this song yet but this band is more about albums for me
That was my first thought too. Not sure how well Joe's vocals line up with this sort of instrumentation, but I'm sure it'll grow on me
Ugh, September. Song is pretty good though.
i personally think he sounds more different than ever before, mostly because he focuses on an aggressive lower range rather than the higher range in the verses
i should have made this thread
I didn't make it when the news broke because I figured you would lol
Are there pre-orders up?
Pretty Years Pre-Order
expensive. real pretty though
those horns are definitely stuck in my head right now
also, john congleton!!! i called it
i'm really enjoying the song. it's so unlike anything i ever expected from them but i think joe's voice works well w/ it and i love that matt's bass finally gets a chance to shine. the production is fucking awesome. none of the harshness of LOSE at all while sounding more polished than anything they've ever done
well... wasn't expecting this...
I'll give this time
I think it's solid. Those vocals in the verses are gonna take some getting used to, but otherwise I'm a fan.
Pre ordered because I'm a sucker
Never really fully latched on to any of their work, but I like what I've heard a lot. I started getting in Lose heavier in like December-Jan, but then I think I got distracted by a bunch of other stuff. Here for this one.
I said this in the other thread, but wow this is something different. I guess "Wish" is an evolution from the song "Chambers". The more I listen to it, the more I really enjoy it.
Those horns sound like something out of "The National Anthem" by Radiohead.
It's nice to hear something new from them! Love this band
all of this is interesting:
its nice that lose seems to have really brought people into the fold for this band, i think there are more posts here already than in the first like month of the lose thread on ap lol
Can't wait. That press release excites me.
Really loved Lose, very ready to see what they'll do next.
Of course Cohen has heard it and called it ""
