There was a patch that has helped, a LOT. wasn’t one of the concerns about the game about tying the voice to the gender? They corrected that in the character creator, you can choose the voice finally made it to the title card, game is pretty gripping so far. Feels so long already, and just barely scratching the surface.
The concern is specifically that choosing the voice also chooses the pronouns for your character, which as far as I know still hasn’t been corrected.
Right, gotcha. Need to double check. Don’t think that was corrected either, but I’m privileged enough to not notice something like that
yep, there’s another step after you’ve tracked down all cars. The job isn’t given right away, not sure what makes him call you, but there is another piece after that.
One thing I’ve seen people saying on social media is, “Took me (X-amount) hours to get out of the prologue”, which is entirely not accurate. Someone even said it took them 15 hours. I think they are confusing the actual prologue with how long it takes for the title card to pop up.
It took about 8 hours for me to get the title card. But that’s also past what would be the actual prologue.
So if you’re on base PS4 and having trouble, turn off Film Grain and Chromatic Aberration, things should work smoother.
I have zero idea what I’m doing with perk points and abilities. I have the hidden dragon ability for aerial takedowns but no promo or appears when I’m above a target. How is it meant to work? also I have mods for guns but for the life of me can’t work out how to equip them. I swear I’m not dumb but something about this game is highly confusion
I have a mod called Cold Shoulder and also no where to equip it. I think I’ve read it’s for the mantis blades but no where does it say that on the item itself.
Copying from the main video game thread, so we can discuss here: I will say, Cyberpunk on my PS5 crashes all the time. Ive played for around 14 hours and it has crashed I would say 8-10 times. Highly annoying. So it's just not the older consoles having problems.
Once that second patch hit and I restarted the game/console, the game looks and runs noticeably better on my Xbox One X. Just made it through the first boss battle with the Royce guy. I have a gaming PC that's more powerful than my Xbox (i7-8700, 1060 3gb, 16 GB ram pc), but I wanted to play in my living room on my LG OLED instead of dining room setup and my 24in monitor. PC gaming still unnerves me because they can't optimize for EVERY SINGLE setup out there and I'm afraid stuff will go wrong. I plan on getting a Series X which of course Cyberpunk will play better on and I get the free next Gen upgrade whenever.
Would have delaying old gen versions fared any better? More than half preorders are playing on PC but I wonder if stock would tank still if they delayed ps4/Xbox one versions some more
I wasn't ever getting this on day one due to it not being released with the upgrade for Series X but I can sympathise with those on older consoles who wanted to play this, no justification for releasing a buggy mess.
Hey at least they’re sorry. Although I guess it is super weird that they only sent PC copies out to reviewers And I guess it’s also super weird they only allowed reviewers to use trailer footage in their video reviews prior to launch day. And I guess it’s also super weird they’re only saying something now that people have already all spent their money and the process for getting refunds either digitally or physically by this point is exceedingly difficult. But hey at least they’re sorry.
I believe CDPR will eventually get this all ironed out, such a bummer that the game is technically out but people still have to wait to really enjoy it. The game really is fantastic.
Panam's relationship is so well done IMO. The arc with romancing her and all the side quests is really really cool.
I play through the issues and it’s a damn great game despite of them, it just sucks I have to play it this way.
There's releasing a janky game and then there's releasing a game that's unplayable on certain consoles it claims to support and then gagging reviewers from talking about it prior to release. The gaming community has cut CDPR a lot of slack over the last few months and it kinda feels like they've repaid that trust by spitting in the faces of a large segment of their customers. This is not a comment on the quality or otherwise of the game which in my experience is reasonably engaging and runs very well on PC (but poorly on PS5) but it's hard to not be left with a bit of a bad taste in one's mouth that taints the whole experience somewhat. A shame because I was really looking forward to this game and desperately wanted it (and still do want it) to live up to all the hype.
Finally got a understanding of everything in the game the past few days. Now I kinda just wanna start over with a new character lol.
