I'm not very far in, maybe 5 or 6 hours, but I love everything about it so far. The mechanics/combat, music, dialogue, environment, whatever the fuck else there is. I'm really enjoying it in a great way. I think you will definitely appreciate all of the RPG elements in it as far as character building and equipment. I'm sure there are a handful of people on this site that don't agree at all with me.
What's the worst case scenario? It's not up to your standards and you have to wait for a few patches for it to tighten up? PS5 just got another patch today, idk if XSX did yet but I haven't encountered anything weird yet except for a dude walking through a car to get to his motorcycle.
true... I might just pull the trigger on it tonight. Just finishing Trails of Cold Steel and I don’t think I want to jump right into the second game yet.
I'd argue my PC is mid-tier. GTX 1660ti, i7-3770k. Running stable between 50-60 fps on medium/high. May dip to 30's while driving fast through denser parts of the cities.
Finally started playing today after the update and it looks really good on the PS5. Haven’t really had any weird glitches, it’s crashed twice in six hours but so did Miles Morales I’m having a great time!
Look at it this way. You get the game, it will be patched up to an acceptable point and when the next gen versions hit, you’ll get it for free. You have nothing really to lose.
The new update on PS4 makes the game more livable. Still has issues but at least I can tell what texture is what.
Only played about 5 hours so far. Some rough textures and a couple crashes on PS4 pro. Had the first cyberpsycho mission glitch for me where the enemy glitches through the floor once she was dead so I couldn’t retrieve the information pack on her. Had to reload and just skip the quest. I find side mission just randomly stack up and it’s a bit confusing as to why I’m doing them. Can everyone stop calling me on my fucking phone stat progression is also confusing. Hard to know what build I want to do so saving points for now. I’m thinking hacker stealth but the game throws so much information at you so far it’s hard to keep track of what does what and how it should all work. I don’t want to just be a gunslinger assuming that this is all prologue until I meet Keanu anyway so may just mainline main mission until that point
They really should prioritize ps4/Xbox one systems first if they haven’t already. On PC I may drop to 35ish frames driving through dense areas of the city but less then 20 FPS during combat is crazy. This game really is fantastic, it’s such a same it can be universally appreciated right now.
I've been enjoying it 100% on PS5, had one weird bug during the main mission, some big guy was supposed to come out of the elevator but just glitched around inside so it was an easy kill. I've had a couple crashes, but besides that nothing really. I am completely hooked. I cannot WAIT to see what next gen looks like, I will happily come back to this when that update comes out next year.
Hopefully by the time I get it on PC in a month or so the bugs will mostly be fixed and the game is smoother
Game is great so far, playing on PC. Keanu just showed up for me. Jackie’s death was a bit less impactful than it should have been in the moment for me. I had a weird bug where his pistol got stuck literally in his head, and when he went to pull the Relic out is his neural core and give it to V, he was handing over the gun, lol. And I had the weird bug where the big dude got stuck in the hotel elevator and was an overly easy kill. I’d say overall, and I’m still early in, I’m finding the main plot more interesting than the side missions, which would be the opposite of my take on Witcher 3.
