Remind me again why this game was torn apart at launch? I never played it because of that, really should get the ultimate edition or whatever they're calling it.
Many, many bugs and broke promises. Whilst the game isn’t what was proposed, it’s now a much better game and worth a reply. I’m doing the same at the moment.
Expectations were extremely high based on what the initial trailers promised. Also, it had terrrrrible performance on last gen consoles, which a majority of players had. The series x/ps5 ports released at a later date, but even on the Series X base version, performance wasn’t good. Like, crash several times and game breaking bugs terrible. I played it and loved the story, but it wasn’t the best experience lol This game really owes so much to the revitalized interest due to the critical acclaim of Edgerunners, and then hitting their stride with the release of 2.0 and Phantom Liberty…truly a great turnaround story, second to No Mans Sky.
1000% fixed - performance is pretty stable now! With 2.0 the entire game is significantly closer to what was envisioned. I just did a recent played through on my X and it was awesome. Recommended for its price too
I’m waiting for school to get out for winter break and then I’m going to buy it and play. I feel like I’m gonna need to have my schedule clear because I anticipate I will love it
Before I downloaded the free PS5 upgrade I believe I played the PS4 version for like 130 hours or something, it’s truly one of the greatest games ever made
I didn't have any problems on PC when it launched. That said, it wasn't super memorable. When I came back and replayed with Phantom Liberty it was like an entire new game. I've played through like three other times since then.
I just started phantom liberty for the 2nd time and my goodness, the beginning hour or so of that expansion is just perfect. Such a pulse pounding and exciting intro to dogtown, and the graphics just have me in awe all over again (entering the black market, rushing to the wreckage etc). It plays and looks phenomenal. A 10/10 game all around now, and since I was a PC player, it was pretty good for me from the beginning. I have it on PS5 as well as I got away from PC for a minute and I think combined, have well over 200 hours between the 2 systems. Also edgerunners was awesome and I can't wait for season 2 even if that may be a long ways out.
Was very confused by this for a moment and was trying to picture some of these people doing the voices I'm familiar with. As others said on the youtube video, this definitely seems like a 'its been a 5 years and farewell' type thing but that's alright. Happy about all the cyberpunk stuff in the works and a continuation of the world. 2030 / 31 for part 2??
