Playing with the new patch, textures and lighting looks much better. Still having frame rate issues here or but minor so far.

 

So the patch makes the game much more playable on a base PS4, still rough looking but I can see a notable difference

 

I feel bad for loving this game on PC.

 

I’ll be waiting for a true PS5 version next year. The glitches/bugs are unreal. How did this get allowed out the final testing phase?

I'm still enjoying this on PS5. Idk. I mean I get the hate and I know it's way worse on PS4 right now, but honestly, I'm still having a blast playing this. I'm OCD and save constantly anyway, so if it crashes it's not that huge of a deal for me. The bugs have been less noticeable since the most recent patch too.

The problem was that this game got way too overhyped and people are acting like this is the first game ever with these kinds of problems at launch. I'd wait if you're on the fence, obviously. But it is a good, if not great, true RPG. It's the most fun I've had on a new RPG in a while, despite the issues.

 

Boy, this game really, really picks up steam at the start of Act 2. Jobs coming left and right, and the Delamain missions are really fun.

 

Playing on the pro and loving every second. No issues outside of random blurry renderings of passerbys in the streets. Game is truly a blast.

 

I've been playing it sporadically on my PS5 and I haven't had any issues with it, but I might just stop and wait til the PS5 version also drops. im running out of storage space already and I think id rather just experience it and (hopefully) enjoy it more with the updated version.

 

Is this worth playing on Series X?

 

I forgot that CDPR was supposed to start work on an enhanced/next-gen remaster of Witcher 3 ... lol yeah okay.

 

I just finished the game and I loved it so, so much. I didn't have any hype for this game. No grand expectations. So for me, it straight up delivered. Sure, I have my fair share of criticism as well, but after reading so many negative posts I only feel like focusing on the positives. Also, because the negatives didn't impact my overall love for this game enough to make me remember them in detail. I'll remember my time spent with this game with straight up joy.

I fell in love with these characters hard, and it's been many years since a game actually made me want to do all of the side content. The side stories, and even just grinding to save up for a nice car, etc. I'm still not close to finished with all of it but after 40 hours played and all of the story heavy side quests finished I wanted to close out the story before I risked becoming burnt out on the game.

About my ending:
After the point of no return I chose the Panam route and I'm really glad I did. Sure, V has only got six months to live but there seems to be hope for a cure still. I played as a female V and romanced Judy and was so happy that she decided to leave Night City with me at the end. I've seen many posts on reddit from people being disappointed in the endings, but I really liked the one that I got. I just wish that I could continue the story from this point on. I don't think, but I really wish, that future DLC will give us that.

It's just such a shame that the launch went the way it did. Because in my opinion this is a really great game and the developers (not the management) deserves all the praise they can get. And I want more Cyberpunk and V and Judy and Panam, etc, etc, etc, in the future.

Well, that was just a stream of consciousness. It felt nice just to have written a little something about my experience.

 

Haven't played a ton but I haven't had any issues yet.

 

I'm not sure if it's happening on the PS5 so you could be perfectly fine but this is too perfect of a statement not to bring it up that apparently if your save goes over 8MB it could totally corrupt the save file. Sooooooo hopefully that gets sorted out!

 

I seem to be having less issues on PS4 with the vehicle camera change since the last update. Still getting issues with the pause screen and scanner feed taking a bit to properly load.

Also finally found Panam. So I get the hype over her now lol.

 

The PS4 version is much more stable now, it’s night and day from the day one patch.

 

The studio that did the Switch port of W3 is working on that.
