me too, and it's so crazy to me it took so long for me to get into them and also to even hear about them. his songwriting is endlessly inventive

 

this song reminds me of ugly organ alot. also i think i wanna get an ugly organ tattoo. i've had it on my mind for a decade or so.

 

Completely forgot about kiss kiss, that was an amazing album, will be listening to this soon cheers

 

Anyone been catching the countdown on FB and Instagram? Tim has been taking about one song from each album from such blinding eyes to gemini. Seems like a countdown to something tomorrow? Hopefully an album announcement or new single

I've been listening to Happy Hollow non-stop lately. What a record.

 

I hope the setlist on the next tour is pretty close to what they were playing earlier in the year. Loved it.

 

they really balanced the setlist so well on their headlining tour, idk that I would've altered it really. wish they toured more, that was my first time seeing them and I wanna see em more

not the biggest cloud nothings fan (only listened to one of their records) but cursive and Appleseed cast has me hype

 

Feel like you’d really like them, knowing yr love of 90s indie rock

 

I'll try out a couple of their more recent records. I wasn't into the vocal melodies mainly so I was only half listening to the record I listened to (attack on memory? maybe?)

 

Ah yeah, try here and nowhere else. Pretty excellent melodies all throughout that thing. AOM is much more aggressive than their other stuff

To be fair, it took me a while to come around to them but Attack on Memory is fucking phenomenal. Try Cut You from that record again.

HANE is my personal least favorite of their last four but it’s still great and a lot of people seem to favor it so it’s worth giving a shot. I think Life Without Sound is their most accessible personally.

cool. not crazy about the chorus though, musically pretty bare for them. always surprises me for some reason how much Tim will sound like Conor Oberst in parts of his delivery and vice versa even though it's been happening for decades at this point
