What a nice surprise! Lyrically I feel like it’s on the nose and sums up most of Vitriola’s themes, albeit not as cleverly. Musically it’s a little Cursive-by-numbers but I’m good with that.
That goes pretty hard at the end, I like it. I don't mind it when Tim is being super obvious lyrically, he makes it work.

Liking this way more than Barricades. Tim is so much better at lyrics than these songs though and it bums me out he’s singing this really basic on the nose stuff. Vitriola had the Kasher charm talking about the left vs right lyrical themes.
Absolutely love these new songs. Also gave Vitriola a relisten and yesterday and was reminded of how much I liked it. The Cursive renaissance is pretty sick.
Nah. Happy Hollow is their best. The Ugly Organ is probably my favorite for nostalgic reasons, but Vitriola is a solid third I feel.

I think it's good, and a proper sequel to The Ugly Organ, but I just have so much history with some of their records.
Domestica is def my fav, UO second. Honestly not much else has clicked with me on the level of those two records at this point, but I do remember really digging Vitriola the, like, one time I listened to it all the way through when it came out.

Really like all 3 of these new songs, they work well together. I need to revisit Vitriola now that we're moving into fall.
Marigolds is a great song. I wonder if they will release more in the next days. I'm also still waiting for them to return to Europe. It's been a long time. When they played Antwerp on the last tour, only 20 people were there. But they played such a good show!
