To a degree this is true, but that is part of the comedy. However, some of the acting is quite good. Susie is terrific.
Watched the first half of S2 today. I didn't realize this show was so meta/"Hollywood", I always love stuff that's about the inner workings of show business. The stuff with pitching to Jason Alexander and JLD is great
One of my favorite running gags (that I think starts in that S2 episode with Jason) is when other people will refer to George Costanza as an idiot or a loser and Larry will get offended and start defending George haha.
i hope they dont ditch the fatwa musical thing, because a musical about salman rushdie's fatwa with larry david playing the ayatollah is something id love to see.
Finished S3 today. Absolutely loved the last episode with the chef with Tourette's but the whole thing was really funny Am I supposed to sympathize with Larry sometimes though? Because I definitely feel like a lot of situations he's in the right and the people he's conflicting with are way overreacting sometimes. I don't know what that says about me lol
It's honestly a little unsettling how often I not only sympathize with him but also identify with him.
Yeah I sympathize with Larry a lot. That's part of the appeal. The dude is incredibly socially inept, but also right most of the time.
I use the phrase "stop and chat" when the time is right. I feel the same way as him in a lot of situations. It's remarkable.
I really miss Cheryl’s presence on the show. Like I know she’s still in it from time to time but it’s just not the same. Her interactions with Larry always made for some great comedy.
She was always great. But seeing Larry out there dating, specifically his relationship with Loretta Black, has been amazing too.
My boss knows I was excited about Curb coming back and on Monday she came in and told me: "I watched that new episode of Curb last night to try and understand you better...I don't know how I feel about you now."
1) Even a mediocre episode of Curb is GREAT 2) This was NOT mediocre. I enjoyed it greatly 3) Highlights for me were the whole bit with the lesbian wedding (classic Curb), every single second of Leon, the disguise, and the foisting 4) Prediction, and maybe this is obvious, if so forgive me - newly single Ted Danson is going to start banging Cheryl, right ?
I held the door open for someone for an inordinately long-amount of time the other day because I remembered this episode.
