I was surprised recently to read that Essman was only a recurring character for the first few seasons. Her presence is so large that it seemed like she was always there.
He's not in The Bracelet, Affirmative Action, The Thong, Bare Midriff, Never Wait for Seconds, and this most recent one. But I'm pretty sure this is the first episode where Susie appears and Jeff does not.
