Season 11 is marathoning today and I completely forgot about how in the Vindman episode Larry calls one of the councilwomen to convince her to vote for the fence law repeal and he just ends up talking like Trump the whole call and Vindman hears the call and tells him he’s gonna tell the town council haha
this. and when the $10 floated into the toilet, the writing was on the wall. it's always great when you get the laugh from the foreshadowing more than the actual thing happening
Leon carried this episode and a lot of this didn’t feel too Curb like to me at all, hopefully once Richard Lewis and some more familiar faces are involved it gets better
Tbh a lot of S11 felt kinda aimless and phoned in, and last night was a continuation of that in multiple facets... one of which was Leon's one-liners being the only real highlight. Hoping we move past the carryover S11 plotlines soon. I'm sure there'll be a few gems this season regardless, at least.
Haven’t seen the ep yet but thinking of bailing this thread until the full season airs. People are weirdly critical when it comes to new Curb.
Siri bit was fantastic. side note, my son likes Zach Bryan, so a lot of nights I tell his Google home to play Zach Bryan and like, 9x out of 10 it replies “sure playing Zach Brown” and it’s an infuriating experience that happens way too often.
Curb will always make me laugh but I tend to agree with some sentiment that the last season (and looks like this one) may in the same vein as the last couple Seinfeld seasons as they were pretty wacky in nature and almost like a caricature of what the show used to be.
