Cheryl was an amazing foil for Larry though, her absolute incredulous reactions to the shit he said sometimes would kill me
Cheryl is fantastic but I don’t think they need to be together again—we already got that for a few seasons.
Said less emphasis. Not to abandon any arc whatsoever. Too much focus on the Maria Sophia. Got annoying after a while. Same with Mocha Joe.
And yes I'm nitpicking, I'll always love Curb for what it is and appreciate it still being around. Larry is the best comedic mind of all time. Curb and Seinfeld my 1A and 1B.
Sad news, but it was seemingly approaching the end for awhile now. This really is the funniest show ever made IMO. I'm confident it'll go out with a bang.
One of the greatest comedies of all time, particularly the earlier seasons. Larry David followed up a landmark show with another. You know they will go out interesting.
Have been doing a rewatch recently as my partner is watching for the first time. Season 4 is basically flawless. Last ep going to wind up w/ Larry and Leon in jail.
I hope the last episode is like a big birthday party for Larry where every friend and foe shows up. He has a chance to get back together w/ Cheryl but blows it somehow.
On one hand, this is sad news. On the other.. this show has the best replay value of any show ever made.
Yeah I'm really looking forward to what this show will do when they know they're in their final season. Something tells me Larry will be more unhinged than ever lol I'm also really happy for morbid reasons that they're going to be able to finish on their own terms while most of the cast is still with us
As much as I love his comedic genius and has made me laugh out loud for basically my entire life. He should finally get to enjoy his retirement at 75 years old. Seinfeld started the same year I was born and he's still making iconic TV to this day. Bravo Mr. David.
It is important to remember that David is still bitter about the way the final Seinfeld episode was received. He has referenced it multiple times within Curb. He never needed the money so it was always about quality, and he is going to try and go out as on top as possible.
Larry has had generational wealth since Seinfeld. The fact that we even got this show in the first place, and it was good and consistent as it is over the course of over 20 years is a stunning achievement. There was a period of time after the Michael J Fox season ended in 2011 that felt like the show was done so each new season since has been a gift. Excited to see what they do to end it all. Truly one of the funniest shows ever made
Haven’t been as big of a fan of these last few seasons but still one of my favorite shows of all time. Excited to see the final season!
Apparently the original tweet by Hayman was deleted. Likely because he spoiled the news before Larry or HBO could announce it. But wishful thinking is he deleted it because it isn’t true.
