The bit with the four relatives would have been much funnier if they had just gotten four brothers or something. That way they look alike but are different enough to have some plausible deniability.
The bit is far funnier with Hader playing all the roles. This was one of the best episodes of the season.
I believe that Larry probably does act this way even though he’s worth almost half a billion. I can see him being furious about losing his favorite sweater
He has nothing else to do with his time but get involved with petty disputes. However, I don't know if he would want it all bloody.
Lol just caught up in time for the finale this Sunday. Could not have timed it more perfectly. Producers, Seinfeld, and Fatwa were my fav seasons
yeah it makes sense that a rich person would go on an elaborate scheme to avoid putting up a fence, which benefits the public good, but will spend that money on a vase to help his friend keep cheating
Ooh, Producers and Seinfeld seasons rule. I also really loved the Restaurant season. Every episode is a heavy-hitter. Kidney Transplant season is also really good, and I think the last of what I consider its original tone.
Oh yeah, restaurant and kidney transplant ones are good too. Season 8 is a little scattershot, but Palestinian Chicken is one of the funniest episodes for sure
The end of that season, with Larry dead temporarily, definitely felt like an end to a show. You also have the big casting change of Cheryl being dropped to a supporting role and Leon popping up.
Agreed. The whole heaven sequence with the callbacks had strong series finale vibes. It took me a little while to get used to the show without Cheryl as his wife, and I think the change shook things up a bit. Now, the banter between Leon and Larry is one of my favorite parts of the show. I do feel like this season is the strongest it's been since the hiatus (pre-Fatwa)
Seasons 8 and 9 definitely were weaker as the show made a transition, but the last two have been more inspired. It is remarkable that this was the shortest turnaround between seasons, even with the world falling apart.
