Horrible. Definitely adds a lot of context to those songs now, I feel awful for her.

Always knew this statement was coming and haven't supported CC since Alice left. Fuck Ethan. New CC album sucked too.

 

This sucks. One of my favorite bands but this is way over where I draw the line. Not supporting Ethan in any way anymore.

 

Crystal Castles show that scheduled here next month is already cancelled.

 

There is a show here tonight, checked when the news broke and it wasn't cancelled. Checked again now and it is.

 

Here is his... uh, statement?

"Kath has sent Pitchfork a response statement via his attorney. “I am outraged and hurt by the recent statements made by Alice about me and our prior relationship,” he said. “Her story is pure fiction and I am consulting my lawyers as to my legal options. Fortunately, there are many witnesses who can and will confirm that I was never abusive to Alice.”"

 

How the hell can there be witnesses that confirm he was never abusive if that shit happens in private lmao

 

It's like me calling you a "witness" to me not dancing around naked in my living room by myself.

 

Pretty classic response from an abuser. Kath is dead to me.

actually, it seems that was an automated post, based on it being posted exactly at midnight, and the venue lists the show as cancelled
