Cat's Cradle is a 750 cap venue, little bigger than last venue that CTE headlined at on their tour with Blessthefall (Greene Street Club in Greensboro, NC with under 450 cap)

 

I would like to see CTE and Palaye Royale, but I'm seeing Incubus and Jimmy Eat World the day this hits Allentown. Oh well, that will be a much, much better show anyway.

Would like to go see CTE but have heard pretty negative things about Gamechanger as a venue. Can anyone speak to that?

 

Most people complain about the sound. The speakers on the main stage tend to destroy your ears lol. Bring earbuds and the show will be fine.

 

I thought Gamechanger World in Allentown was a misprint, but I stand corrected. There is now a Gamechanger World in both PA and NJ.

 

Wow, this is the first I'm seeing of it! I wonder if this is a new building or did they take over another venue? Also, props on John D making moves since I think he's still doing the Gamechanger thing.

As for John D, he fucked up..plain and simple. Also, the limo claim sounds pretty petty on his part. It might have fucked up the field but it's not like the limo was doing doughnuts in the outfield haha. Here's my question. He basically ran one of the more successful festivals on the east coast for years with Bamboozle and SnS. Is it standard practice for people running festivals to bank on ticket sales and day of event sales to pay bands? That seems way too risky in my opinion ESPECIALLY in an outside venue with mud in October. The odds seem way stacked against you. Also, for $200k, he got the last tri-state area show of one of the most successful tri-state area acts of all time and they agreed to do it on a 25% down payment. I read in that article that he wanted to pay the openers first so I'm guessing he still does business with their booking agents. The only problem is, he tried screwing over a band that LOVES to go to the press over anything. It'll be interesting to see where they go from here.
