Thought that'd be the case - interested to see who has writing credits also, still no LP arrived so can't read liner notes. Love that they put so much time and effort into production. A year after release I read IWTTDYTS used zero synths or drum machines and it blew my daft mind.
"All songs written and performed by Crime In Stereo. Kristian Hallbert/Alex Dunne/Gary Cione/Eric Fairchild/Brett Romnes" The font on the liner notes is kinda hard to read lol
Never really listened to this band before aside from a couple songs, so I'm starting from the beginning. Explosives... sounds way more like No Trigger/Strike Anywhere than I expected. Very cool album.
I’ve always said their trajectory is like if [redacted] started as a melocore band rather than a pop punk band. and wouldn’t you know one of those bands is still standing, proving melodic hardcore supremacy once again
Haven’t truly gotten into this just yet. Vocals sound a bit odd. However, I’m listening to I was Trying… for the first time in a few years and fuck this record is so god damn good. Youth is such a huge song.
choosing to believe 'Skells' is about how fuckin shitty Long Island is, considering they mention the Nassau Coliseum lol
Throwing this out there for anyone that missed this one off track a couple years ago. Feels like it was definitely re-worked and overhauled into what is now Hypernormalisation - the little harmony at the end of the chorus is the guitar lead.
New info on this seems its a song taken from a scrapped album that was 80% done by 2016, Kristian and Eric talked about it briefly on the Good Noise Podcast, hinted we may hear more from those sessions (I fuckin hope so!)
