ahhh okay I knew her name sounded familiar but only somewhat know about Sisters of Mercy and the Damned. Definitely makes sense to work with her given the sound of the last album lok did you hear the new song?
No sadly I have no idea how to acces bbc radio here in the states even if I had been home to do so haha
IDK, as catchy as is is, it seems like they've become a cheesy parody of the genre they're trying to be.
This one feels very much like Sanguivare 1….right down to the key change at the end. Really leaning into the 80s goth arena rock satanic panic stuff. I think Will said this album was supposed to be a band full of Vampires touring the world or something like that and this certainly fits the mold. It is a bit too over the top for me but the song is still catchy haha. I liked the more spooky feeling of the first album vs the more campy feel of this one so far
This new song isn't my favorite, I do like the glam metal stuff (Ghost is one of my favorite bands) but I hope they go punkier again on the next one. Still really excited to hear this sequel though, these guys haven't missed for me yet
I really wish the lyrics weren’t so campy because otherwise I would love blood magick, that hook to start the chorus is killer
i never try to be this person but man do i miss the eternity in your arms sound. record is unreal. all the power to them for reaching new heights with this sound though.
Seems like something is coming tonight. I picked “trick” at the website lol I assume it’s a show announcement because we didn’t get Black Heaven until like a week or two before the Sanguivore came out, so I can’t imagine we’d get the 3rd single already
It’s on Spotify now. Now this is more my speed in terms of the 80s sound. Definitely my favorite of the 3 so far on first listen.
