Honestly think that's really cool that they held a funeral for their songs. This band are like early AFI with the complete bombast and showmanship of My Chem in their prime.
From the sessions on radio 1 last night. First is a cover of The 1975 and second is Hiding with The Boys. Hannah is sounding great on these.
I'd agree. I actually prefer the self titled EP to everything else that they've done but that's just me. I'm not wild about the new stuff so far to be honest. The new songs are good but don't think as good as first 2 EPS. When I first came across first EP I thought it was very AFI/Alkaline Trio and i loved it. I have the self titled EP on black vinyl and the honeymoon suite on vinyl also, they're great.
Interview plus Black Rain Creeper - Black Rain, London Grammar + Creeper, MistaJam - BBC Radio 1 Drum rhythm and rhythm of the vocal line in the verses is a little too similar to Suzanne in my opinion but it's a great song nevertheless. Hannah steals the chorus with one line.
New Video for Black Rain, this song absolutely rages. It's a proper great opening track for the album.
Song/video rule. Wish this wasn't still so far out. As far as this upcoming US Tour I'm gonna assume the set will be: Black Rain Suzanne Hiding With Boys Misery Black Mass VCR Honeymoon Suite Maybe one more? (Probably Gloom) Can't imagine what they can really do with only 30 mins
I can't see them playing 3 album songs on a support set before the album's even out. I'd take out Black Rain and put in Valentine or Astral Projection at a guess.
Black Rain is definitely the best of the songs released so far. Can't wait to see these in Birmingham with Milk Teeth on the tour they are doing with the TNM podcast guys.
I've now got tickets to their London, Southampton and Kingston shows in March/April. So stoked for these run of shows and I'm so hyped for the album.
Finally, I think this might be the longest time between an album announcement and release I've ever seen
April 18 to August 5 and this one was Oct 3 to March 24th so its got it beat haha That one also felt like forever though
So much time has passed since the first single was released that my excited has dwindled to "I guess I'll check this out."
Saw them for the first time earlier this month open for Waterparks. They have incredible stage presence, hoping they tour the US again
What has the reception to Creeper been like on that Waterparks tour? They don't fit in on a lot of tours that they've been on, but that one was particularly odd.
I found out about them when Waterparks/ TCTT announced they were opening so I knew a few songs. Most people didn't know their music in the crowd, but they put on a really good show so people got into them pretty quick. Lots of fans after the show were lining up to buy their merch and meet them. Overall, I'd say the tour went pretty well for them
