Thank goodness Creed's record label ignored this guy's request Conor Oberst tried to talk his label out of releasing Creed's debut album
It is interesting that at one point the owners of Wind-Up were close enough with Oberst to get his opinion, when you consider that they dropped all their Grass Records artists not long afterward.
I saw 3 Doors Down years ago in London doing a co headline show with Seether and no joke they were never like this before at all, they were all about performing the songs and having a good time, shame as people they have changed for the worse
I don't really want to get into this, but I will say that of all the bands that are known Republicans, 3 Doors Down has been IMO the quietest about it. I have rarely if ever read anything in the news about them promoting anything. Yes, I know they played Trump's first inauguration, and that sucks no matter how you slice it, but they went on record saying they did it to play an inauguration, not to support Trump, and they would've done it no matter who it was. Is that true? Maybe, maybe not. In any case, beyond that I can't remember a single time they've said a word about their beliefs or politics or anything.
They never said a word about their beliefs or politics at all when I saw them live years ago, it was the usual getting the crowd singing along and being appreciative to be in the UK and that's it really.
Thier guitarist has a gun store and he always wears shirts promoting it. I think he also wore a shirt mocking people using LGBT pronouns. I know Brad Arnold became super religious after he got sober. He doesn't hide it.
Being religious isn't the same thing as being a Republican and isn't something someone should necessarily have to hide unless they're promoting something harmful. I didn't know that about the guitarist though, if that's true, that's awful. However, you say "you think", so until there's something concrete, I will only make a mental note of it. That aside, my point was that looking at other bad actors like Aaron Lewis or Trapt or Smile Empty Soul or Skillet, 3 Doors Down has been very non-confrontational, as far as I'm aware. They haven't appeared in news articles saying heinous shit.
Ugh. Found the picture of the shirt. I'd like to believe he's just a moron who wore it because they're big on "patriotism" and not to be legitimately offensive, but this definitely makes me make the Marge Simpson disapproval noise.
Creed's Mark Tremonti would "rather sell tons of records and have people come at you" than sell no records but be loved
You said "I can't remember a single time they've said a word about their beliefs or politics or anything." Dude's openly posting Trump porn
