I’m more of an Alter Bridge fan personally, but Creed definitely has some great tracks. Do we think they’ll ever play shows again, or are the Alter Bridge guys just focused on that?
Good time to share one of my favorite videos of all time. I loved Creed in high school, which was the peak of their popularity. My best friend and I both went ot Best Buy to pick up Weathered on release day. We loved it.
I was super into Creed when I was a kid. Weathered was my shit. I don’t think I’ve listened to it in 15 years.
"Bullets" is still surprisingly awesome and heavy. The rest of this album, though, does not hold up for me.
I should go back to it. I probably still have some fondness for most of those songs. I listened to them so many times when I was 12/13.
I loved My Own Prison and Human Clay in high school and for a while after. "What If" was fun to jam on the guitar. Never really got into Weathered though (was that the one with the song with Native American chanting?) and haven't listened to any of them in a long time.
That's the one. Here's an article on the use of chanting in Cherokee. That happens to be my favorite track on the record.
Agreed. I remember reading the tracklist and seeing a song called "Don't Stop Dancing" and really hoping it would be Creed going disco. Instead it was a ballad about kids believing in themselves.
Bullets absolutely shreds to this day. The rest of the songs I cannot get into anymore. But I did love Creed for a period of time when I was younger.
Creed was my first favorite band. I think I got Weathered, Now 8, and a CD player for Christmas when I was 8. Every band I've ever liked can probably be traced back to Creed. Or Deftones. Probably Deftones.
Creed was the first concert I ever attended, with Collective Soul, and Devil Driver as support What If used to rip so hard
Wait, really? You sure it wasn't Coal Chamber? I would think a Creed/Collective Soul crowd would be appalled by Devil Driver.
