Pumped! The living room tour is coming through my area, after x-mas crazyness I might try to help find a space for it.

Has he released anything off of this? I was surprised to see him doing this before a new Hold Steady record. His two records and are so different, that I'm curious to see if this continues the Faith in the Future sound or something new.

So this album is pretty impressive, especially "God In Chicago" which is absolutely devastating.

This is insanely good. First solo record that has felt fully developed and not an obvious side project.

This is phenomenal. Will probably be a top 5 album of the year for me. The last three songs are so good.

This is great, by far his best solo work. "God in Chicago" is the instant favorite.

Agreed with everyone above, this is a great album and by far his best solo work.

Best thing he's written since Boys & Girls, I think.

I loved Faith in the Future, but this is next level. Really loving it.

^^^agreed but I love Stay Positive, that seems to be the forgotten album in their discog.

Rescue Blues is probably my favorite, that song just does something for me. That chorus with "Looking off the balcony, well that seems pretty pure to me" is oddly moving to me.

I do too, and I love a number of songs from HIW as well. This is just super great.

This record is such an amazing surprise. I'm a huge Hold Steady fan but was pretty vanilla on the first two solo records Craig released. This however is fantastic.

I also didn't love the first 2 solo albums......but DO love Hold Steady..........just curious, is this just "better" or is it different musically from the previous 2 as well ??

I really liked Faith in the Future, and I feel like this is a better version of it. Totally different from the first one, but a continuation of the 2nd one, IMO.

So are we all in agreement that “God in Chicago” is the saddest song of 2017?
