This September, she will release ‌End of the Day, an album made with Stella Mozgawa of Warpaint to score Danny Cohen’s 2021 documentary about Barnett, Anonymous Club.
This will be Barnett’s first instrumental record. It will also be the final release on Milk! Records, the label Barnett started in 2012.

 

Wow, never thought I'd see her closing Milk! Records. Fully instrumental record though, can't wait.

 

Hoping to get tickets to that Brattleboro show, seems like a very small venue

Bit of a surprise seeing Courtney listed for this show, though I guess she is based in LA now. I'm absolutely here for the Hayley Williams X Courtney crossover if she's running in those circles now.

Think this will be her first show of the year, wonder if there'll be any new material? Got to think she's due a new record at this point.

This year is absolutely fucking loaded already with Lorde, Wet Leg, Wolf Alice, Haim - this would top them all though!

Conspiracy time - I think there'll be an announcement/ beginning of the rollout in the next couple of weeks.

I've noticed an uptick in random Courtney songs being played on the radio, out of no where really - 6Music in the UK, for example, very very occasionally would play her outside of during singles promo, but the last week has played her at least 4 times or so just when I've been listening.

Prediction is that label stuff has been going on in the background meaning it's either conscious by the stations to gently ramp up, or subconscious that station hosts are just more aware of her again.

 

She's playing a festival here in a few weeks but I don't think I will be able to make it unfortunately. Maybe she will debut some new music
