Aw just realized the line in Sunday Roast "I know all your stories, but I'll listen to them again" is a flip on the lyrics from Nobody Really Cares when she says "yea I like hearing your stories, but I've heard them all before".
The show last night was great. The new songs sound real good live. I'm Not Your Mother, I'm Not Your Bitch is such a ride, and I think Charity will end up being one of the big ones from this album. I'm excited to see her again at Pitchfork, cus this was a bit of a strange venue (it was like in this room with a dome, in a much bigger building, and the lights were on in the room and stuff) so it'll be cool to see her in a more traditional setting, hopefully with a crowd more familiar with the new material.
I think my first listen must have been a shitty rip, this sounds waaaaay better on second listen, much less murky and dirty than I remember
Yeah this keeps growing on me. I like the different sides she’s shown on this record, and there are a lot of really cool guitar tones
I’m very pleasantly surprised by how much I’ve grown to ADORE this. For me, it’s more solid than the last one
I think “Nameless, Faceless” was a poor choice as the initial single. I think it’s the worst song here by a mile. Everything else is basically fantastic.
Man, I could not agree less with the first part. I really think Nameles, Faceless is a great song, one of the best in a very strong discography. Really signature Courtney with a very strong message throughout.
Yeah I think it was a good choice. I think it represents the album well, even if it isn’t my favorite track
