C is for Courtney that's good enough for me, but it should have been B for Barnett or A for Australia
I think it's a highlight on the album. It's got a slightly different vibe, but it still sounds like Courtney to me.
i love "sunday roast" so much i know the get up kids circa on a wire isn't the correct reference point for "walkin on eggshells" but here i am and that's what i think of
I've seen that a lot of people's criticisms with this album are that is more mid tempo'd and not as energetic as the debut, but I couldn't disagree more if anything as a whole this album is more energetic and it's more louder/grungier too. My only complaint with this album and it's very small one at that, is that it's less "Wordy" than her previous material.
i wish i likes this more. i actually kinda agree with steven hyden’s take on this, that there are some very good songs here, but as a whole it sounds like a slightly tired record. it makes me feel sad and old and dumb to agree with him, hopefully i’ll come around on this.
Are people even listening to Help Your Self or Walkin' On Eggshells? Such great tunes. I think the closing 3 songs are the strongest here, but I don't think anything on this is less than great.
Now that I've listened more to a higher quality copy, I'm falling in love with this record. Sunday Roast might be my favourite song by her ever.
