Yess!! Most anticipated of the year easily. I've been thinking we'd get an announcement about the record this week for a few days, having seen how she's slowing booking shows for around June this year. Thought they may have waited till the Jen Cloher tour was over, but fuck. So excited. The lyric snippets sound awesome, and that song at the end sounds killer .
Yeah, everything in that clip sounds amazing. I have a feeling this is somehow going to top Sometimes, which is one of my favorites of the decade. Expecting something much more varied.
from shazam: track at the end is called "i'm not your mother, i'm not your bitch" and seems that this is the album cover art:
Okay, not massive on that artwork, I'll be honest. I always really like the whole thing she had of her drawings being the covers.
Haha, I think it's kinda sick. Just watched the video again and these all sound incredible. I'm so curious about Courtney + a piano!
It's growing on me haha. Kinda like it more every time I see it. I was very curious when it came out last year that she had been writing a lot on piano, but that little except has piqued my interest. I was confused as to how her style might translate to being overly piano heavy, but that except just works. God, I hope I'm not coming across badly here just so hype for this record.
New song should be out in the wild today, might be the single that's released tomorrow. Sticker reads "From the album 'tell me how you really feel'", so guess that's confirmed as well.
Two great songs and artists using that Margaret Atwood quote in a year: "Sexual violence doesn't start and end with rape It starts in our books and behind our school gates Men are scared women will laugh in their face Whereas women are scared it's their lives men will take"
