It’s soo good

 

Counterparts dropping a new song is the best birthday present ever. Also, this song is very TWFU.

I cannot fucking wait for this album.

 

They played the album intro on the Pure Noise tour. A 60 second breakdown as Brendan called it. Rips too

 

Single is very good. Feels like some Saints Never Surrender/Continuance style influence. Possibly the best song this guy has written on guitar since joining.

 

Their drummer Kyle also contributed to the guitar parts on this song

was about to buy the gigantic pre order since i liked multiple shirts but then saw the tour isnt coming to Minnesota so now im bitter and dont want to.

 

Kyle is an awesome addition. I remember seeing videos he posted of guitar work he was doing for a self-produced EP he was working on before officially joining Counterparts. Sounded amazing, so i'm not surprised to hear he's contributing to writing guitar parts for the band.

Yes. I used to know the names of all the members. Currently am only familiar with Brendan, Kyle, and Adrian. I like YNYA plenty, and the EP was at the same level. But this song I think is a big step up from there.

 

Kyle is one of the best drummers/all around musicians in the genre rn

 

You could definitely hear what he liked to do in Hundredth on some Counterparts songs. Guitar wise, Hell/Home is probably the best lineup they’ve had.

 

New song is on Stereogum. Also, am I to believe based off this new photo that Adrian is out, and Alex has rejoined the band? I know he worked on some songs for the last album, but didn’t see this happening.

 

i think bc Alex had more of a hand in writing this record this time around? i could be wrong but that’s what I’m thinking.

 

This band is the best

 

Really dig both new songs after being lukewarm on YNYA.

 

They’ve had phenomenal back to back releases, so one album being good after 3 greats I was okay with.
