One of the greatest songwriters out there right now in my opinion.

His new record Adios comes out April 7th!

The Corner and Tall Green Grass are two of my all time favorite songs. I've seen him live a couple times though and it's always been disappointing. He's usually drunk, strums his guitar way too hard, and forgets the words to his own songs.

Very weird because I got into him by seeing him open for Dashboard on their Swiss Army tour and his live show had me hooked.

I'm seeing him play in April again. Hopefully it's a good show! Those two songs are also up there as my favorites. Other favorites include, "Walkaround" "Skateland South" "The Freefall" "Survivor Blues(stripped down version)"

Even though this'll probably go unread it's worth a shot to try to find other people who listen!

His show last night was incredible. He played 19 songs-95 minutes and was on point! The 19 songs included 6 new songs (which sounded incredible) which he will have on a new record by early next year. He said ideally it'd come out by the end of this year, but he knows that's probably not realistic.

Talked to him for about a half hour at the bar before the show. He's just such a down to earth cool guy. He deserves to blow up so badly, although there is something endearing watching someone play with such intensity to a room of 25-30 people.

I'd like to catch him live. I wasn't as wowed by Adios, but The No-Hit Wonder is still a favorite of mine.

Funny The No-Hit Wonder is my least favorite release of his (despite still enjoying it)

His Letterman performance is still one of my favorite late night spots of all time.

man this thread ain't been bumped in a while. been listening to 'Adios' a bunch lately and I know he posted that he planned to release a new album in 2020. Hope we get it soon, and with a proper tour too. Would love to see him live.

he also mentioned posting a compilation of b-sides/unreleased tracks online later this week (maybe a new album too possibly). totally looking forward to that.

Listening to The No Hit Wonder tonight and it’s still such a solid album, it feels very under appreciated. Too bad I felt like Adios was such a dud.

man, it looks like he and his wife lost their house in a storm yesterday. he's posting about it on IG. looks like both of them and their son are ok though. terrible.
