ESR still the GOAT, after that I have a hard time picking between In Motion, Ixora, and Blushing and it will change depending on the day. BMT and YAMS aren't far behind those either.
He indicated in a livestream in instagram way back when they announced Revolving Doors that he had more new Copeland songs written than he ever had and that it wouldn’t be too long until a new record. I wouldn’t be surprised if we got one in late 2023/early 2024
With Boston being the first date of the tour I’m pretty confident I’ll be able to get one of the vinyl!
They were a little sloppy during the opening set, but they were incredible once they got into the album. How long have they been without a bass player?
Really? I thought Chin Up sounded great. One of the first songs something sounded off, but didn’t really notice anything else major. Aaron’s voice seemed to get a bit tired as the set went on. I ended up with #13/500 for the vinyl! Looked like they only put out a small amount for the show.
See I felt like the drums, his vocal, and the backing tracks never quite locked into the groove until the last verse, where they clicked in. His voice though? Has not lost a single step.
Looking forward to see them when they hit the west coast! Although not my favorite sonically, BMT is the first and most emotionally connected album for me personally.
Two Lefts. Maybe not their masterpiece, but I will always know it as the album where RK became really, really good.
Wow. Copeland KILLED last night. Truly an amazing show. They opened with four songs which was a surprise, but a pleasant one. The opener was I Can Make You Feel Young Again and that was so appropriate for this 20 year anniversary and the relatively older crowd, including me and my buddy who are both married with children!! They then played all of BMT, and then closed with Pin Your Wings. Aarons voice was seriously on point! Bryan and Stephen sounded perfect, as did the drummer (sorry don’t know that dude, and I hope John is good). VIP beforehand was fun in terms of meeting the dudes and hearing Aaron play some intimate tunes, although that was very casual and the music was just fine haha (admittedly so according Aaron) but he was taking requests that weren’t necessarily well practiced. They are always so sweet at the meet and greets and Q&A. BMT is personally a very emotional album and I privately shared the reason why with them and they were so so kind. I’m clearly biased, but that was the best Copeland show I’ve ever seen. Still riding the feels this morning.
Thank you for sharing about the show! I really hope they add some more dates later on, it has been far too long since I've seen them. Aaron seems like a cool guy to talk to during the meet and greet
Also had a blast last night and was able to snag a vinyl. This was the first time in a long time that I got goosebumps at a show, hearing everyone sing a long to Coffee and When Paula Sparks was really special. I was thinking to myself during the songs before they got into BMT that it would be dope to hear Pin Your Wings, so it was really cool to see Aaron close with that solo. Late night, but totally worth it.
