So what's the setlist like? I saw the ig post about wanting another tour to be louder and guitar focused, bringing some of the older songs etc.
There’s like no Midwest dates I’m sad maybe they’re doing riot fest and more dates will be later in the year
Just got tickets for their show at the Glass House — the same place I saw their “last shows ever” farewell tour in 2010. This will be the third time I’ve seen them live at this same venue SINCE that tour and probably the 15th time I’ve seen them since 2004. Very grateful to still have this band in my life.
Damn I can’t see them when they come to Philly and want that. Hopefully it’s sold online after the tour
Really hope I can get my hands on the BMT Vinyl. Excited to see them again at the Pomona show! Last time I was at The Glass House was at their "farewell" show many moons ago! Also can't quite understand how Blushing isn't higher on most faves lists that I'm seeing on here. I love all their records, and I know it's hard to really rank them, but man, Blushing is on a whole other level for me. Might just be the release timing for me though. Really needed that album at the time.
Copeland is one of the few bands for me whose releases are better than the release directly before it (excluding Revolving Doors, since it's not new material). imo, Blushing is easily their best album (followed by Ixora, YAMS, ESR, IM, and BMT), but all of their albums are fantastic.
I hear ya! I feel the same, they've really gotten better upon every release. I remember when Ixora came out just thinking how epic it was that the come back album really smashed everything that came before, which is no small feat. The emotion, writing, engineering, the Twin version playing at the same time, so much to love. The thing I love about this band is that I can vividly think back to pivotal periods in my life that line up with each album release. It's taken me awhile but I'm really coming around to Revolving Door. I usually have a hard time getting into re-imagined songs of previous masterpieces, but I'm finding myself coming back to it a lot the last couple weeks. Hoping the Vinyl ships soon!
I do really like Blushing but Ixora is definitely my favorite followed by YAMS. Ixora is probably a top 5 album for me
I'd like to see them pull off another album with higher energy and crunchy guitars like pre-YAMS but with a touch of what they've done since then
I agree with this (continually getting better) Blushing Ixora And then I’d actually go for Revolving Doors!
