The Revolving Doors Deluxe Edition LP is back up in the store if anyone missed it the first time around: https://shop.copeland.band/collecti...evolving-doors-vinyl-pre-order-deluxe-edition
Thank you for the heads up! Have they announced what the difference is between the deluxe and standard editions? I know the deluxe is 2lp, but are there more songs?
It was raining on the way to work this morning and almost starting to feel like fall. Time to spin some Copeland, starting with YAMS Really hope they add some more tour dates. It's been several years since I've seen them and that is far too long
The song is amazing! And there's lots of Aaron influence on it I think, though it seems it's been produced by somebody else this time around. Abby Gundersen on violin and backing vocals as well.
I want the orchestra to go hard like a John williams score but it’s more laid back. Missed opportunity imo.
skimmed through it and it all sounds lovely but I just have no real use for this kind of thing. I look forward to their next album!
this isn't really what i expected after that ixora tour where they had the four piece touring with them.
Amazing how I lost the date and wasn't aware it's coming out in all that DCFC hype I had - so I listened to it at 2:30AM, sounds beautiful, the first two tracks flowing into each other is perfection. A lot of it is definitely what I had expected though, I'll definitely will get back to it a lot anyways, there's not going to be a new album too soon for sure.
Funny how today we've also got "The String Sessions" by Lydia, might hit a close spot. Howsoever there's clearly a lot of beautiful work done on Aaron's vocals, great to catch all the little production bits on headphones. That Lydia EP has got more of a live approach to the vocals and mixes it seems. Surely in the end "Revolving Doors" will have a lot more to process for me.
Man, I love this. I'm very happy with how it all turned out and psyched to see it live tomorrow. Question - has anyone seen album credits to see who plays drums on it?
This should have just been songs from The first couple albums. The arrangements of chin up and love affair are so similar to the albums what was even the point ? You Have My Attention is the best executed one. Pretty great. no one really wins is a miss. Look how they massacred my boy.
Oh god, I'm not really excited to listen to this but I'll give it a shot. It'd be cool to see them do something with urgency again.
Guess I'll be the outlier that loves the reimagined songs and arrangements. Totally will be putting this on over the next few months to just relax in their vibe.
Hard for me to picture why a Copeland fan wouldn’t dig this, but I guess you can’t please everybody. These versions are beautiful though. Have to imagine they won’t hold a candle to the live performance, which I regret not making plans to attend
There's a livestream tonight, if that's something you'd enjoy! Edit - tomorrow. I keep thinking it's tonight, haha!
I totally forgot this performance was going to be live-streamed. Will definitely check that out. Thanks for mentioning!
Yeah I had no idea actually, I’ve really not been paying super close attention to this cycle. Thanks @anonimito!
