They really threw the kitchen sink at this song. I like parts of it quite a bit, but on my first listen it’s a little too scatterbrained to ever really settle into a groove like the original did.

 

Love it. Listened to BMT the least of their albums so I don’t have much attachment to the original.

preordered that deluxe vinyl despite the fact that i'm moving in August and don't know my new apartment number yet. part of me thinks there won't be bonus tracks, but rather the standard album at 45 RPM across 2 discs.

 

This is lovely. Love them.

 

The instrumental is amazing. I prefer the original vocals though. Aaron kinda sounds like he’s on autopilot here.

 

I think this is just sort of how he sings now. It’s that whispery type tone from the last two records. I enjoy it but def way different than the first two albums

 

It is in the mid 50’s with steady here today. Couldn’t be more perfect weather for a Copeland release hah

 

I was just scouring google to try to hear stuff from that show, so this is great news! For most bands I wouldn't be all that excited about something like this, but Aaron's orchestral compositions are so next-level and never phoned-in that this will surely be gorgeous.

 

Love that it’s a little more career spanning and there’ll be some surprises throw in there

Stunning it is! I'm all in - this is going to be THE BEST "best of" ever. "Coffee" brought me more joy in that rendition than I had expected. Would be funny to see "Walking Downtown" on the track list, maybe clicking with more people then hahah. I always though it was a fun song (especially for around-2003-standards), but I understand the general disapproval. Can't wait to see the real list of songs though!

 

I was hoping to get that orchestra concert released at some point but this is even better. Aaron in a studio with a full orchestra at his disposal?! And a live stream of the recording session?! This is just too much to handle

 

I was expecting "Coffee" to be a lot different than the original based on the comments, but I don't think they changed that much other than adding layers of instrumentation. I think it still fits the vibe of the original.

At 38 seconds, I'm pretty sure that's sheet music for "No One Really Wins."

 

I'm sure I remember it well that Aaron sang No One Really Wins on an instagram clip a while back too, pretty sure he mentioned it then that it's supposed to be re-worked as well.
